Welcome to the Finishing Trades Institute Midwest Training Site, or FTI Midwest as it is commonly known.
The FTI Midwest is the training arm for the IUPAT (International Union of Painters and Allied Trades) and works in cooperation with the iFTI (International Finishing Trades Institute.
We are a DOL (Department of Labor) recognized and registered training center for apprentices in District Council 58 of the IUPAT. We also offer opportunities for advancing the skillsets of our journeyman painters and drywall finishers while ensuring that our members have every chance to do the work safely through our courses offered on safety.
We are home to a state-of-the-art 97,000-square-foot facility with 6 classrooms and over 80 mockup rooms for job site conditions training and hands-on.
