SCAFFOLD –User/Erector/Dismantler
Scaffold Training is covered in 2 segments. The first-class segment is dedicated to an overview of the OSHA standards and ANSI standards, with emphasis on the changes in Subpart L. The second-class segment proceeds to hands-on training with specific types of scaffolding used in throughout the taping/painting industry. These types can include Perry-Baker and tubular stack frame (mobile towers and stationary). All students must demonstrate knowledge and participate in the erection and dismantling operation of scaffolding and associated fall protection of each of the listed types. Class completion time can range from 5-8 hours depending on the number of students participating. Class exceeds the requirements of OSHA Subpart L 1926.454 and applicable ANSI Standards. |

FALL PROTECTION – U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE)
Hour/s: 24 Upon successful completion of the classroom training the participant will be able to pass a written examination demonstrating comprehension of the basic selection, inspection and safe use of fall protections systems and materials when in accordance with Federal OSHA Laws and United States Army Corps of Engineer s (USACE) EM385. They will have been trained, tested and understand the following:

AERIAL LIFTS – MEWPS ANSI A92 Boom and Scissors
Aerial lifts are another means of getting workers, equipment, and/or materials to where they are needed on the job. There are two basic kinds of aerial lifts: scissor lift and boom lift. Upon completion of this course, Students should be familiar with both boom and scissor lifts and their individual uses. They should know the safety rules, precautions and operation of man lifting devices; be able to perform a visual inspection prior to operating a man lifting device and be familiar with emergency related safety features associated with man lifting devices. Topics include ANSI A92 training on Types and Classes of MEWPS, responsibilities of Supervisors, Users, and Occupants, doing JSA’s, and proper equipment selection and maintenance. This course time is subject to the number of those enrolled for that day. |
CONFINED SPACE – Awareness 8Hr
This class is completed within one day and focuses on the hazards that exist within a confined space on a construction site. We utilize the standards found at www.osha.gov under 29 CFR Part 1926 Subpart AA – Confined Spaces in Construction. … All construction employers whose workers may be exposed to confined space hazards must be trained on these and other jobsite hazards and recognition of other hazards that may exist. |
CONFINED SPACE – Permit Required
This 2-day course is designed to enable students to recognize, evaluate, prevent, and abate safety and health hazards associated with confined space and permit required confined space entry. This course, based on OSHA 2264 Standard, is highly participatory with substantial hands-on training in the use of monitors, PPE, and entry and retrieval in a simulated, controlled confined space. This class is completed over two 8-hour days. |
OSHA 10 HOUR CONSTRUCTION
OSHA 10 Hour Construction Safety Course was developed to provide construction workers, supervisors and personnel an awareness of work-site safety and health. Upon course completion, participants receive a Department of Labor OSHA construction and health course completion card. This class and the resulting completion card are needed to comply with the Missouri statute requiring an OSHA 10 hour for all employees on public works projects. However, it is important to note that the amount of time and information provided within any of the subjects of this 10-hour course is not adequate to fulfill the training requirements of the OSHA standards. This is a safety awareness course only! |
OSHA 10 HOUR CONSTRUCTION – Online (Spanish Available)

OSHA 30 HOUR CONSTRUCTION
OSHA 30 Construction Safety Course offered online for members of the IUPAT. This class was developed to provide awareness of common hazards and to provide training as required by the OSHA Standards in some major areas. Students will receive the 30-hour Construction Safety and Health card from the Department of Labor. Furthermore, students will receive expanded training and certificates in the areas of Hazard Communication, and Respiratory Protection. This is a four-day class and all days must be attended. |
OSHA 30 HOUR CONSTRUCTION – Online (Available in Spanish)
Construction Safety Course is a comprehensive class developed to provide awareness of common hazards and provide training as required by the OSHA Standards in some major areas. Students will receive the 30-hour Construction Safety and Health card from the Department of Labor. They will have up to 6 months to complete the class from the time of enrollment and are free to their own online class time hours.
